The Labour Court recommended that An Post and A Group Of Unions negotiate how to address service days that had been subsumed into annual leave, including whether prior company practice could be brought into line with general industry practice. The unions said service leave was separate from annual leave and had been withdrawn without agreement. The company argued the claim was cost-increasing and pointed to agreements restructuring leave arrangements. The Court recommended that negotiations also consider the position since service days were subsumed into annual leave. The Labour Court dated the recommendation 3 December 2007.
