The Labour Court did not recommend conceding a worker’s claim against Unilever Ireland over a lost line-leader premium, his redundancy package and stress and worry. The recommendation was signed on 28 November 2007. The worker said he had not been told that moving to the evening shift would end his 10% premium and that other line leaders retained theirs in comparable circumstances. Unilever said he had requested the move and that a 25% shift differential was included in the redundancy calculation. The Court said he had accepted a full and final redundancy settlement after receiving union advice, and it could not be reopened.
