In 2007, the Labour Court recommended that Cork City Partnership and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union work together to seek funding for the salary scale claimed for 15 Client Service Officers. The recommendation was signed on 28 November 2007. The union said the workers’ contracts and comparable roles supported the Pobal Adjusted Salary Scales. Cork City Partnership acknowledged the claim’s merit but said it could not meet the higher costs without funding from the relevant agency. The Court said there was no dispute over the staff’s entitlement to the claimed scale and recommended cooperation to seek the funding needed to implement it.
