The Labour Court recommended that Flair International increase its retrospective payment offer from €200 to €400 per affected person, and that members of the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union agree to the company’s proposals for recording downtime and scrap from 1 December 2007. The recommendation was signed on 7 November 2007. The dispute also covered training allowances, job retiming, machine shop set-up times and an absence procedure. The Court recommended a joint study by company- and union-nominated industrial engineers, to be completed and agreed by 31 January 2008. Flair International should also produce proposals for a revised absence procedure, with the union’s members engaging toward agreement by that date.
