The Labour Court dismissed a worker’s claim for four additional days of marriage leave at the Central Bank & Financial Services Authority of Ireland. In a recommendation dated 31 October 2007, it upheld the Bank’s position that the worker’s three additional days of annual leave counted towards its 26-day cap. The Bank said the worker received 25 days of annual leave and one day of marriage leave. The union argued that she had 22 days of annual leave plus three days granted under a 1977 transfer agreement. The Court classified those three days as annual leave when applying the Bank’s policy.
