The Labour Court did not recommend extending the Community Allowance to Clinical Placement Co-ordinators generally, rejecting the HSEA’s claim. Its recommendation was signed on 22 October 2007. The HSEA said the co-ordinators worked Monday to Friday and were predominantly community based. The PNA said the allowance was tied to lost premium earnings, which co-ordinators did not generally lose. The Court found that the allowance did not apply to the grade except where some co-ordinators already received it before promotion or lost premium payments when promoted. It recommended that prospective applicants be made aware of the position.
