Labour Court backs Harristown scheduling proposals for Dublin Bus drivers

The Labour Court recommended that Dublin Bus adopt conciliation proposals for scheduling bus services at Harristown Bus Garage, with a review of scheduled travelling time after at least six months. Its recommendation was signed on 22 October 2007.

The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union and the NBRU sought to have services start, break and finish at the garage. Dublin Bus relied on a company-wide agreement allowing these activities at either the garage or city centre. The Court found that agreement applied at Harristown and considered the conciliation proposals fair and reasonable.
