The Labour Court recommended that the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union co-operate with Dairygold’s proposed new pay and conditions structure for 30 staff at its Mallow plant. In its recommendation dated 24 September 2007, the Court proposed a further two-year agreement, a guaranteed 43-week annual roster with a 90% loss-of-earnings formula, and use of the 2002 agreement if redundancies arose. It also recommended discussions about compensation for time workers spent off the payroll, with conciliation if needed.
