The Labour Court recommended that Laragan Developments Ltd pay a worker €5,000 in full and final settlement of his claim. The recommendation was signed on 19 September 2007. The dispute followed the worker’s dismissal after damage to a teleporter or fork-lift machine at the Carrickmines site. The Court found that the company’s disciplinary procedures did not comply with the Code of Practice on Grievance and Disciplinary Procedures. The worker was represented by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union.
