Labour Court recommends third salary increment for UCD technical officers

The Labour Court recommended that University College Dublin offer Principal Technical Officers a third additional salary increment worth €1,667, with retrospective effect from 1 January 2005. The recommendation was dated 11 September 2007. Unite argued the officers’ duties matched those of comparator university staff and sought aligned pay. Management said the roles differed, though it accepted some merit in the claim and had already offered two additional increments. The Court recommended that the College make the third offer and the union accept it.
