The Labour Court recommended that Roadstone Provinces Limited and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union and Technical, Engineering and Electrical Union explore cost-neutral ways to address a dispute over pensionable pay and social welfare integration in the pension scheme. The Court said it could not recommend the unions’ claim because it did not consider the scheme out of line with comparable employments. The recommendation, dated 10 September 2007, said any changes should be considered in light of the scheme’s next actuarial evaluation. That assessment was due early the following year.
