The Labour Court recommended further discussions between the Irish Aviation Authority and Amicus - Atoa about changes linked to the Northern Oceanic Transition Area (NOTA). It found NOTA went beyond normal ongoing change, while the Service Delivery Strategy, COOPANS and ESARR 5 initiatives qualified as normal ongoing change. The recommendation was signed on 21 August 2007. The union argued the initiatives would significantly affect engineers’ workloads and responsibilities. The Authority said the changes were part of normal ongoing change and cited limited workload effects and technological developments across the sector. The Court recommended that the union accept that the other initiatives were compensated for under the standard pay agreement associated with Towards 2016.
