The Labour Court recommended that the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union cooperate with a Leo Pharma change requiring operators to sign or initial three check sheets recording weight checks. The recommendation was signed on 17 August 2007. The union said the added duties and accountability warranted recognition, while Leo Pharma said operators already performed the checks and signing only recorded that they had done so. The Court classified the change as normal ongoing change and accepted the company’s assurance that it would not materially increase responsibility. It said other issues raised by the union were outside the referral.
