The Labour Court recommended a national negotiation process on annual-leave claims by the Irish Municipal, Public and Civil Trade Union against HSE Western Area. The claims covered allied health professional and catering grades in the HSE-Mid West Region. The Court said the process should begin after the Standardisation Committee completes its deliberations and finish within three months. If the parties do not agree, they may refer the matter back to the Court. The recommendation was signed on 9 July 2007.
