The Labour Court did not uphold a worker’s claim that she was unfairly dismissed by Liffey Valley Fitness. In its recommendation signed on 21 June 2007, the Court said performance and attendance difficulties gave rise to the termination and that the company’s procedures were appropriate. The worker said she had been coerced into resigning and later asked to retract her resignation. The company cited mistakes, lateness, absence and customer-service complaints.
