Labour Court does not recommend concession of Bus Eireann worker's regrading claim

The Labour Court did not recommend concession of a worker's claim to be regraded to Class 2 Inspector by Bus Eireann. The recommendation was dated 15 June 2007 and concerned the worker's claim that his workload and responsibilities merited the higher grade and related pension benefits. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union said comparable inspectors had been regraded and sought backdating and compensation. Bus Eireann said the worker had been correctly assimilated under an earlier grading programme and an internal committee had found no merit in his later claim.
