The Labour Court recommended that Chadwicks Limited bring indoor and outdoor staff’s sick-pay terms into line, with a review if absenteeism appreciably increased. Its recommendation was signed on 15 June 2007. The dispute, brought by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union and the Amalgamated Transport and General Workers’ Union on behalf of about 200 members, also covered pensions, profit sharing and a review of the collective agreement. The Court did not recommend conceding the pension or increased profit-sharing claims. It recommended conceding a review of the agreement, provided it produced no directly or indirectly cost-increasing changes.
