The Labour Court recommended that employees already entitled to travel concessions keep them if they take the 21 March 2007 voluntary severance terms at Shannon Airport. It also recommended that future severance talks address the concessions. The recommendation was signed on 8 June 2007. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union said employees leaving under the scheme should retain concessions under established practice. Dublin Airport Authority - Shannon Airport said the one-off package did not include them. The Court noted concessions had not been discussed in negotiations and were limited to about 1,500 people, with a waiting list.
