The Labour Court recommended that a claim for public service benchmarking increases be conceded for five members of the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union at St. Enda’s Sports Complex. The recommendation was signed on 28 May 2007. The Court found that a long-standing agreement set the staff’s pay at parity with comparable grades in the VEC sector and that they were entitled to the increases claimed. It recommended restoring that pay parity and that the parties jointly seek the necessary funding from the Department of Education and Science and Limerick City Council.
