The Labour Court recommended that the HSE - Employers Agency and Medical Laboratory Scientists Association (Mlsa) begin discussions on the National Working Group's recommendations immediately and conclude them by 30 June 2007. The recommendation was signed on 19 April 2007. The association sought removal of the on-call payment quota in the remaining seven of 12 small laboratories using the system. The Court called for efforts to recruit additional staff in the meantime and recommended referring the dispute back for an early hearing and definitive recommendation if unresolved by the deadline.
