The Labour Court recommended that the Hospital of the Assumption give staff two extra days’ leave on a once-off basis after disruption from building works. The leave was to be taken in the 2007–2008 leave years at no additional cost to the hospital. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union and Irish Nurses Organisation had sought four extra leave days and €1,000 for each member. Management said it had taken steps to limit disruption and that staff had benefited from the new facility. The recommendation was signed on 18 April 2007.
