The Labour Court recommended that Lisavaird Co-Op make the four Church Holidays normal working days, with existing staff receiving four days’ annual leave in lieu. The leave was to be allocated as individual days across the year, with two days in each half. The arrangement would apply to existing staff only. Mandate said staff valued the days off and some had religious reasons for their position. The company said it needed to open to compete and meet customer demand. The recommendation was signed on 13 April 2007.
