The Labour Court recommended that Aer Lingus pay an unnamed former worker €15,000 in full and final settlement of a dispute over work she completed after redundancy. The recommendation was signed on 2 February 2007. The worker said she completed projects after her redundancy under an arrangement to receive IT equipment as payment, but was not remunerated as agreed. Aer Lingus said it had no records of a contract or the alleged arrangement. The Court noted that the company accepted work had been performed during the six months in dispute. It also criticised the company for not addressing the issue earlier and said the worker could have pursued her grievance sooner.
