The Labour Court recommended that Marks & Spencer (Ireland) Limited adopt an agreed, clarified format for promotion advertisements and circulate it to staff. It also recommended that Two Workers represented by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union be considered for promotion on the same basis as other eligible applicants, assuming they had completed the Accelerator Course. The recommendation was signed on 2 February 2007. The Court did not recommend compensation for the workers' previous failures to qualify for promotion.
