The Labour Court recommended that workers employed by Group 4 Securicor Security Services (Ireland) Limited accept proposed roster changes at the Intel site in Leixlip. The recommendation was dated 30 November 2006. The company proposed daily shifts of 10 hours instead of 12 and a five-day week instead of four. The company said the changes followed a request from Intel. Services Industrial Professional Technical Union objected that management had not adequately consulted and that the long-standing arrangements would be disrupted. The Court considered the company’s actions consistent with its agreement with the union and employment contracts.
