The Labour Court recommended that the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union cooperate with Hasbro Ireland Ltd in evaluating and filling the required number of senior S&S setter positions. The recommendation was dated 16 October 2006. The dispute followed four promotions and the union’s claim that all 22 setters should have the chance to advance. Hasbro said its operational needs had changed and it required eight senior setters. The Court accepted that fewer positions were needed and said any further workplace changes arising from a manufacturing review should be handled under existing agreements.
