The Labour Court recommended correcting a pay anomaly for Enterprise Ireland Senior Research Officers and eligible Research Officers who had or would become Senior Research Officers and were serving on 1 May 1999. The correction should follow the same date and method as an earlier recommendation. The recommendation was dated 12 October 2006. Amicus sought application of a 13.8% benchmarking award, while 7.8% had been applied to the Senior Research Officer grade. Enterprise Ireland said the issue had not been included in a 2005 agreement and the two grades’ arrangements were incompatible. The Court did not fully accept the union’s reasons for raising the matter when it did, but said the anomaly should be corrected.
