The Labour Court recommended that TG4 increase its rostered duty allowance to €40 from acceptance of the recommendation, following a dispute with Services Industrial Professional Technical Union (SIPTU) on behalf of 50 members. The Court rejected the union’s claim for a 12% pay increase and did not concede its request for a defined benefit pension scheme. It recommended discussions on improving the existing defined contribution scheme. The Court endorsed existing annual leave arrangements, with a day off in lieu if the privilege day could not be taken on Good Friday or Christmas Eve. It also recommended a joint working party on crèche facilities. The recommendation was signed on 2 October 2006.
