The Labour Court recommended that Services Industrial Professional Technical Union accept Calor Gas’s offer on holiday pay for 28 worker drivers, including average earnings over the previous 13 weeks for all holidays and a once-off €1,500 payment for each employee employed before 1 June 2005. The union had sought to include Saturday earnings in the holiday pay calculation; the company treated Saturday work as outside normal hours. The Court also recommended that holidays taken in 2006 be assessed and paid under the offer. The recommendation was signed on 2 October 2006.
