The Labour Court recommended that Bord Na Mona P.L.C.'s offer on its Transport/Rail Supervisors bonus scheme be accepted as fair and reasonable. The recommendation was signed on 25 September 2006. The Amalgamated Transport And General Workers' Union sought a higher bonus, pointing to a gap between supervisors' payments and those received by the workers they supervised. The Court considered the proposed payment of about 20% of basic pay, the company's maximum performance payment level, not out of line.
