The Labour Court recommended that Coillte Teoranta allocate 2% of relevant salary costs to its Team/Business Unit performance fund for 2004 and 2005, and adjust the Level 1 bonus scheme for managers on standard contracts to match that for managers on personal contracts. The recommendation was dated 29 August 2006. The Irish Municipal, Public And Civil Trade Union argued that the agreement required the allocation and that managers with the same responsibilities should have equal bonus access. Coillte said its overall payout already met the 2% ceiling and that the 2003 scheme was designed for managers who accepted personal contracts. The Court said the 2001 agreement required the allocation and that standard-contract managers should not be treated less favourably for bonus purposes.
Labour Court recommends 2% performance fund and equal bonus access at Coillte
