The Labour Court recommended that Henry Denny (Tralee) Limited restore a paid 15-minute break bonus for former Boning Hall workers who transferred to the Ready to Cook department, either full-time or temporarily. The payment should be restored retrospectively to when it was withdrawn in 2003. The recommendation was dated 2 August 2006. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union said the workers continued receiving the bonus for more than two years after moving departments, before the company stopped it without consultation. The company argued that the payment applied only to Boning Hall workers and had continued in Ready to Cook by mistake. The Court recommended restoring it for the eligible transferred workers.
