The Labour Court dismissed a United Airlines worker’s claim for compensation over a team leader listening to his telephone conversation. The worker sought €10,000 and said he felt he had no choice but to resign after the team leader said she would investigate a comment. The recommendation was signed on 10 July 2006. The Court found the worker had accepted the company’s call-monitoring policies and had no grounds to object to the monitoring. It also said he had an opportunity to raise a grievance and to take part in an investigation, but did neither. The Court did not recommend compensation and dismissed the claim.
