The Labour Court recommended an independent review of grading and employment terms for technicians employed by ASSOCIATION OF AGRICULTURAL/HORTICULTURAL COLLEGES - TEAGASC and private agricultural and horticultural colleges. The recommendation was dated 13 July 2006. The unions sought a new career structure, citing changes in duties and limited progression. The Court said the review would not commit the employers to pay adjustments, and any implementation would remain subject to national agreements and the Benchmarking process. SERVICES INDUSTRIAL PROFESSIONAL TECHNICAL UNION and IRISH MUNICIPAL, PUBLIC AND CIVIL TRADE UNION were also parties.
