The Labour Court recommended an ongoing 1% pay increase as a full and final settlement of a dispute between Irish Flavours & Fragrances Ltd (Iff) and the Amalgamated Transport And General Workers' Union. The recommendation was signed 7 July 2006. The dispute concerned withdrawal of the Annual Incentive Plan from non-supervisory and non-management employees. The union said the plan was linked to introducing shift work and sought a 5% one-off payment, an extra day on holiday bonus and a 2% basic-pay rise. Management said the plan was flawed and its withdrawal was decided globally.
