The Labour Court did not recommend concession of the Psychiatric Nurses' Association Of Ireland's claim for location allowance for nurses in St. Aidan's Ward, Waterford, from November 1999 to December 2003. The recommendation was signed 6 July 2006. The allowance was extended to the ward from January 2004 after reviews. The union argued it should have applied from November 1999; the employer said the ward was not among the areas initially specified for the allowance. The Court cited the dispute history and circular 33/2004 in declining the claim.
