The Labour Court recommended that LM Ericsson Ltd recognise Services Industrial Professional Technical Union for individual and collective representation of four Master Engineers. The recommendation was dated 19 June 2006. The union said the workers had been members before their promotion and sought representation for them. Ericsson said Master Engineers were management employees in research and development, where it dealt with staff individually. The company declined an invitation to attend the hearing, but the Court considered its written submission.
