The Labour Court recommended one further promotion competition for nurses in acting Clinical Nurse Manager I and II posts in the Health Service Executive - Mid West Area. The competition should convert three holders in each grade to permanent posts. The recommendation was dated 10 May 2006.
The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union and Psychiatric Nurses Association sought a confined competition for long-serving nurses in acting posts. The HSE said future vacancies should be filled by open competition under the existing agreement. The Court recommended that all later vacancies be filled through public open competition and that the HSE maintain a current panel.
