The Labour Court recommended that Peamount Hospital and the Irish Nurses Organisation discuss the appropriate grade for two night nurses, whose roles the Court said closely resembled that of a Night Superintendent. Its recommendation was dated 8 May 2006. The nurses were graded Clinical Nurse Manager 2, and the union sought Assistant Director of Nursing grades. The Court said the parties should discuss whether CNM 3 or ADON was appropriate, consistent with the hospital’s banding definition.
