The Labour Court recommended that the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union accept Chubb Security’s offer of €500 to each of two workers who claimed they should have been appointed to supervisory posts at Wyeth Medica in Clondalkin. The recommendation was dated 17 October 2005. The workers said the positions had not been advertised and that they expected to continue in supervisory roles. They estimated their loss at €50 a week. Chubb Security said supervisors were already in place under a separate contract and that it had continued paying the workers a supervisor’s allowance while the dispute was pending.
