The Labour Court recommended that Beamish & Crawford pay its craftsmen an annual lump sum equal to 2% of basic pay in return for accepting specified work-practice changes, excluding item 18. The recommendation was signed on 4 October 2005. The Technical, Engineering And Electrical Union sought a productivity payment after changes to work at the bottling plant. The company said the changes required of craftsmen were minimal and offered to discuss a one-off payment. The Court said it was difficult to assess the productivity achieved before recommending the payment for the listed changes.
