Labour Court recommends higher grade point for HSE North East claimant

The Labour Court recommended that the Health Services Executive North East Area place a claimant being upgraded to Psychotherapist on point 7 of the Counsellor/Therapist grade, with retrospection to February 2004. The Irish Municipal, Public And Civil Trade Union had sought the Senior Clinical Psychologist scale. In its recommendation dated 22 September 2005, the Court said the claimant should be treated as being on point 6 from February 2004 and point 7 from February 2005, moving to point 8 from February 2006. It noted that a forthcoming national report on Psychotherapists could affect the position in future.
