Labour Court recommends €500 notice payment for Guardian Security worker

The Labour Court recommended that Guardian Security pay €500 in lieu of notice to a security guard, while rejecting his claim that he was unfairly dismissed. The worker, represented by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union, had been dismissed after workplace complaints. The Court accepted that he had to be removed from that work location and said efforts had been made to accommodate him elsewhere. The recommendation was signed on 26 September 2005.
