In 2005, the Labour Court recommended that Clear E Solutions/20:20 Logistics Ireland pay an unnamed car-kit installation engineer €1,000 in full and final settlement of his dismissal claim. The Court issued its recommendation on 9 September 2005. The worker said he had completed probation and was selected for lay-off while other employees remained. Clear E Solutions/20:20 Logistics Ireland said business had slowed, the move to 20:20 Logistics was temporary, and the worker did not accept changed hours or attend arranged meetings. The company also said it paid one month's salary in lieu of notice. The Court found the company had not properly applied its disciplinary procedures or given the worker an opportunity to appeal. It also found he had been offered options to accommodate his needs and contributed in part to his dismissal by declining them.
