The Labour Court recommended that the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union accept Uniphar’s productivity proposals, including a 2.5% increase from acceptance and a further 2.5% increase six months later. The recommendation was signed on 31 August 2005. The union’s original claim covered issues including pay, bank holidays, bonuses, Sunday shifts, profit sharing and redundancies. The company had resolved four of the 12 issues, and the Court said the parties had already agreed in principle to pay above Sustaining Progress for productivity measures.
