The Labour Court recommended that North Meath Development Association pay its former general manager his outstanding redundancy settlement and an ex-gratia €1,000 in full and final settlement of his claims. The recommendation was signed on 31 August 2005. The association said funding problems meant it could no longer afford to employ a manager. The union disputed the redundancy and said the worker had been selected after raising questions about the organisation’s management.
