In 2005, the Labour Court recommended a €4,000 payment in a dispute involving Campwest Regional Control Centre and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union. The dispute concerned about 125 ambulance personnel employed by the Western Health Board and a proposed combined emergency call centre for the Western Region. The union had sought €12,000 and an increase of two annual-leave days. The Court recommended acceptance of management's position on promotional posts, an increase in the payment to €4,000, and an increase in the Board's annual-leave offer to three days once off. The recommendation was dated 8 June 2005.
