The Labour Court recommended that Diageo Baileys’ T + 28% shift-premium proposal be accepted for a possible permanent night shift, and that its laundry compensation offer rise to €300 per person. The recommendation was signed on 19 May 2005. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union sought a 33% night premium and €1,000 per worker after the laundry service for protective workwear was withdrawn. The company said 28% was fair and had offered €55 per worker for laundry costs.
