The Labour Court recommended that Clondalkin Drug Task Force concede the Irish Municipal, Public And Civil Trade Union’s claim for benchmarking pay increases. Its recommendation was dated 21 April 2005. The union argued that task force employees’ pay was linked to Health Board rates, where benchmarking increases had been paid. The employer said it lacked funding and that paying the increases from existing funds would force it to stop other activities. The Court said the employees’ pay was aligned with corresponding grades in the former ERHA.
