The Labour Court recommended that the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union cooperate with a planned benchmarking exercise for about 42 currency checkers and supervisors at the Central Bank Of Ireland. The bank said it expected the exercise to take place in summer 2005. The union had sought retrospective effect from May 2002. The Court said the exercise should account for possible losses from the group missing the previous round as well as gains made in other areas. The recommendation was signed on 18 April 2005.
